  'What Really Matters'

South Dakota Achieve had been accredited by The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) for over 50 years. As a part of our continued partnership with CQL, we would like to share a video they created entitled, "What Really Matters". This video illustrates how important it is to ask people receiving supports what they want ... what really matters to them. Statistics, indicators and plans are only helpful when they are defined by the person.

  'Eyes Wide Open'

South Dakota Achieve was one of the 11 recipients, out of 79 applicants, for the “KELO Tradition of Caring Grant.” We were pleased to be awarded $20,000 in air time on KELO and UTV.  As part of the grant, KELO assisted us in producing a 30 second ad with a theme of “Eyes Wide Open”. It’s not just something we say. It’s something we strive for. It’s the basis of everything we do: opening minds, opening hearts, and opening eyes to the world.

  Our History

At South Dakota Achieve, we believe in the importance of listening and responding to what people want and need; positive supports that do not include restrictive approaches; providing person-centered services and individual choice; offering support through sensory therapy, communication adaptations, specialized training; utilizing community resources to their fullest; and that every person has potential and deserves opportunities that are important to them.

Celebrating Over 50 Years of "Finding a Way"...

As Carmen states, “Before coming to ACHIEVE Tony existed … now he is living life.”
