South Dakota Achieve Celebrates
 Direct Support Professional Week!

This week, South Dakota Achieve along with communities across the nation will pause to honor a critical segment of the workforce.

National Direct Support Professional Recognition Week, as declared by the U.S. Senate, as well as our governor, Michael Rounds, recognizes Direct Support Professionals [DSPs] for the quality supports they provide to million of Americans with disabilities.

Of the 530 employees at South Dakota Achieve, DSPs make up over 77% of the workforce, that’s over 400 employees!

DSPs play a vital role in our community as they promote independence and inclusion for individuals with disabilities.  Out of respect for their work and dedication, we should all take time to recognize DSPs for the immeasurable difference they make each day in the lives of people with disabilities.

Throughout the week, South Dakota Achieve has fun activities planned to honor our DSP's.  Please join us in thanking them this week and throughout the year for the great job they do with supporting people with disabilities.
