Ride of a Lifetime
Story by Support Professional, Jessica Pascoe
Sturgis isn’t the only town in South
Dakota with tough bikers cruising
the streets anymore. Carolyn has
been cruising the streets of Tea!
In June, Carolyn watched my daughter
ride her child-size moped. Her face
lit up and she said, “I want a ride,
I'm not scared.” Of course, the
moped was not a good fit. So, I
started making plans with my Uncle
to give her a ride on his
motorcycle.
Safety is always first! So, while
plans were being made, Tennis Lane
staff reviewed motorcycle safety
with Carolyn. August was here before
we knew it and the time came for
Carolyn to feel the wind in her
face.
When the bike arrived,
she could not get her
helmet on fast enough.
She climbed on the back
of the bike like she had
been riding for years.
She was a natural! When
she got back from her
ride, she took her
helmet off, flexed her
muscles and said, “I’m
tough!” She thanked my
uncle numerous times and
could not stop smiling.
If you see Carolyn, ask
her about her motorcycle
ride. Nothing would make
her day more than to be
able to share this story
with you!
