Fun in Vegas

Recently, three guys from the
Burger house, Jason, Mike, Tim
(and myself) took off for a trip
to Las Vegas. Everything went
smoothly at the airport and on
the airplane ride. Everyone was
very excited to arrive!
When we got to our hotel room,
the guys decided to go out for
supper. After supper, we headed
for the Monte Carlo Casino where
Lance Burto, Master Magician,
performs. We got tickets in the
3rd row! The show was
excellent. The guys kept saying,
“I guess that is why he is the
Master Magician!” After the
show, we walked back to our
hotel. Everyone was tired and
ready for a good night sleep.
We started out the second
day early. We were up by
6:00am. We walked to the
Luxor Casino for breakfast.
After breakfast, we spent
the morning walking around
from casino to casino
sight-seeing and shopping
for souvenirs. Each of the
guys found a t-shirt they
wanted and a gift for one of
their roommates. After lunch
and a short rest at the
hotel, the guys decided that
they wanted to go to see
Dirk Arthur, another
magician who uses a lot of
tigers in his show.
The show was
awesome! The guys
really enjoyed the
tricks with the
tigers. After the
show, Mike went up
to Dirk Arthur and
put his arm around
him and told him he
was “awesome”! Dirk
laughed and told
him, "Thank you".
Next, we
headed to a
“Tournament
of Kings”
show. This
show is
unique
because
audience
members get
to enjoy
dinner while
watching
Knights
fight on
horses and
on foot.
However, the
dinner is
not just an
ordinary
one. Guests
have to eat
all of their
food without
using any
utensils-
just like
Medieval
Times! The
crowd is
also split
into
sections,
and you
cheer for
the knight
that is
assigned to
your area.
The guys
really
enjoyed
cheering for
our knight.
It was
spectacular
show that
lasted about
1 ½ hours.
Everyone
left with
huge smiles
on their
faces. After
a long,
eventful
day, we were
ready for a
restful
night sleep
at the
hotel.
Once again,
we got up
early. We
made it to
the airport
by 6:00am to
catch our
plane back
home. During
our flight,
Mike told me
that he had
a great
time, but he
was ready to
go home
because he
really
missed his
cat, Tiger.
Everyone
agreed that
they were
glad to be
heading
home, but
they did not
miss the
snow while
they were
gone.
Shortly
after
arriving
home, the
three guys
were sitting
on the couch
talking to
me about the
Las Vegas
trip and all
of the
sudden it
was quiet. I
looked over
and all
three of
them were
asleep
sitting on
the couch.
It was
really funny
to see them
“happily
worn out
from their
vacation”.
