Achieve Hires New
Vice President of
Development
Story by Walter Schaefer, Director of
Human Resources
South Dakota Achieve is excited to
announce that Linda Wittrock Eidem
has accepted the Vice President of
Development position. Linda has
lived and worked in Sioux Falls the
past 33 years. Thirty of these have
been working for NorthWestern
Energy/Northern States power
Company. Her most recent role was
Director of Community Relations.
In addition to her work that has exposed
her to many different business leaders
in the community, Linda has been very
involved in volunteer service.
Her
volunteer experience includes
service on the ACHIEVE Foundation
Board, member of Rotary, volunteer
for Junior Achievement, member of
Sales and Marketing Executives, and
a Board member and volunteer for Boy
Scouts of America.
(Linda has also been involved in the
ACHIEVE Chef for a Day volunteer
opportunity a couple of times!)
The
primary goals for the Development
office is to raise much needed funds
to benefit the people we support at
ACHIEVE. We have and will continue
to do this by raising annual funds,
increasing planned gifts, increasing
major gifts and increasing donors.
The support we receive from the
Foundation is essential to our
operations.
We recently asked Linda, “What is
it about the Vice President of
Development position that makes
it a good fit for you?”
Eidem states, "I have a passion for
the SD Achieve Mission and through
my efforts I can make a difference
in the lives of those we serve."
Linda also added when she hears the
words “South Dakota Achieve” she can
not help but think of the great
opportunity we have to make a
positive impact on so many peoples
lives!
